Google announced that Google Reader will be retired by July 1, 2013, which surprised many people.
Why? there are two reasons, Google said: "usage of Google Reader has declined, and as a company we’re pouring all of our energy into fewer products. We think that kind of focus will make for a better user experience."

- Increase ad coverage: Placing additional ad units on your site can have a big impact on your earnings. You can put up to three standard AdSense for content ad units (note only one 300x600), three link units and two AdSense for search boxes on each page of your site. Sometimes publishers find it difficult to decide whether an additional ad unit makes sense for their site. Watch this short video to help you make sure you're following best practices, as outlined on Google’s Webmaster Guidelines, when placing new ad units on your site. As always, it’s important to consider the amount of ads in relation to the quality content on your site.

Warning From Google: Selling Links That Pass PageRank Could Lead to Penalty
Google warned webmasters / blogger again, selling links (to get money) that pass PageRank can be penalized, seriously.
Google claimed in a recent post that "Please be wary if someone approaches you and wants to pay you for links or "advertorial" pages on your site that pass PageRank. Selling links (or entire advertorial pages with embedded links) that pass PageRank violates our quality guidelines, and Google does take action on such violations."

Top 5 Mobile Smart Phone Operating Systems in 2012
Android and iOS, the number one and number two ranked smartphone operating systems (OS) worldwide, combined for 91.1% of all smartphone shipments during the fourth quarter of 2012 (4Q12). According to the report released by International Data Corporation (IDC), for calendar year 2012, Android and iOS combined for 87.6% of the 722.4 million smartphones shipped worldwide.
